What is the OTL Seat Fillers Club?
A private, members-only club (not a ticket broker) that quietly fills local shows. You pay low dues and receive surprise invitations to complimentary tickets.
Who manages OTL Seat Fillers?
A family-and-friends team running since 2014—passion project turned community. Same mission through highs, lows, and post-COVID rebuilds.
How is this different from awards-show seat filling?
Awards shows seat fillers fill TV audience gaps. OTL is local: members attend real shows in their city with complimentary tickets—supporting the arts while having fun.
How does OTL work (in a nutshell)?
Join on a 3-month starter plan → reserve posted shows in your area → we send the will-call list → you pick up free tickets at the venue → repeat.
What should I know before joining?
Only reserve if you’ll attend (no-shows hurt partners). Invitations vary by city/season. We keep partner names private. We’re a club, not a broker.
What do dues cover?
Access to the private listings and the opportunity to claim complimentary tickets. Dues don’t guarantee a set number of shows; even one invite can offset months.
How much are dues?
On-Call (US): $9.99/$14.99 for 3 months; then $3.65/$5.55 per month (2/4 seats).
London: £9.99/£14.99 for 3 months; then £3.65/£5.55 per month (2/4 seats).
Preferred (busy US cities): $29.99–$59.99 for 3 months; then $9.99–$15.99 per month (2/4 seats).
Cancel anytime; dues already paid are non-refundable.
Where is OTL available?
Preferred (busier): Atlanta, Austin, Denver–Boulder, Los Angeles, NYC area, San Francisco, and London.
On-Call (lighter volume): Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Nashville, Portland (OR), Raleigh–Durham, Seattle, St. Louis, South Florida, Tampa Bay.
What about NYC?
The Great 2025 NYC Experiment: $12.99 total for a 2-seat membership through Dec 31, 2025—no auto-renewals. Expect more comedy, music, Off-Broadway gems. Join the NYC pilot.
What about the UK?
The UK pilot is postponed until next year. Add your name to get updates and first dibs. Join the UK interest list.
What kinds of shows do members attend?
Mostly theatre (plays & musicals), plus comedy, music, immersive experiences—and sometimes dance, opera, symphony, festivals, classes, and more.
Do you list partner names or specific shows publicly?
No. Partner privacy protects public sales. Invitations are private inside the members’ area.
How do I get my tickets?
Reserve online. We send the will-call list to the venue the day of the show. Pick up at the box office with your name/ID.
Are sold-out shows included?
No. OTL doesn’t seat fill sold-out shows.
Is this family-friendly?
Varies by event. Listings include age guidance. 4-seat plans are available; you must pick up tickets. Extra guests beyond your complimentary allotment buy regular tickets directly from the venue.
How many invitations will I get?
It varies—more in busier cities/seasons, lighter in On-Call areas. The surprise is part of the fun.
Can I switch cities?
Yes—pick the page closest to you (e.g., Denver–Boulder, South Florida covers Miami–Fort Lauderdale). Ask us if you’re unsure.
Do promoters pay for this?
No. Community seat filling is free for partners—and private. Post via our event submission form or email us.
Can partners retract tickets after inviting seat fillers?
No. Once an invitation is posted and members reserve, those seats shouldn’t be pulled. Partners can add more seats, just not retract earlier offers.
Do you seat fill free public events?
No. Seat-filler invitations are for tickets with an associated value. Free public events can go on our calendars, but not as seat-filler invites.
How do cancellations work?
Cancel anytime from your account. Dues already paid are non-refundable.
