Quick clarity (membership vs. tickets)
OTL Seat Fillers charges membership dues—not ticket prices. Dues provide access to the private member area and eligibility to claim complimentary ticket invitations when available. Invitations are occasional, vary by city and season, and are not guaranteed.
Seat Fillers FAQs (Members & Future Members)
Membership basics, invitations, tickets, and billing—minus the drama.
Am I buying tickets when I join?
No—OTL Seat Fillers is a dues-based membership club (not a ticket broker). Dues provide access to the private member area and eligibility to claim complimentary ticket invitations when available.
How often will I get invitations?
It varies by city, season, and partner availability. Invitations are occasional and not guaranteed—some months are busier than others.
Where do I see invitations?
Invitations are posted privately in the member area. Depending on your settings, you may also receive alerts when something new is available.
Can I choose any show I want?
Not quite. Seat filling isn’t a public “pick-your-shows” marketplace—members claim what’s posted when invitations are available.
How do I get the tickets?
You reserve online when an invitation is available. We send a list to the venue, and you pick up your tickets at will-call/box office (or follow the pickup instructions listed in the invite).
How many tickets can I claim?
Plans are typically for 2 seats or 4 seats. Your membership level determines your maximum per invitation.
Do dues cover the tickets?
Yes. When you reserve an invitation, the tickets are complimentary—your dues cover membership access and any available seat-filler opportunities you reserve.
How do cancellations and renewals work?
Memberships renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date. You can manage or cancel from your account anytime.
I see events on the calendar—are those seat filler invites?
Not necessarily. Our event calendars are public “things to do” listings for everyone. Seat filler invitations are separate and posted privately in the member area.
Is seat filling family-friendly?
It depends on the show. Listings typically include age guidance. If you have a 4-seat plan, your extra guests beyond your complimentary allotment would purchase regular tickets.

Event Promoters & Venues FAQs (Seat Filling)
How seat filling works, why it stays private, and what you control.
What is seat filling?
Seat filling is a way to place additional audience members in otherwise empty seats—often close to showtime—so the room feels fuller and energy stays high.
Does seat filling cost promoters anything?
No. OTL seat filling is free for promoters/venues. Members pay dues. You decide if/when you want to offer seats.
Is OTL private?
Yes. OTL is designed to stay private so partner names and seat-filler inventory aren’t publicly promoted, helping protect regular ticket sales.
What do I control as a promoter?
You control the date/time, number of tickets, any restrictions, and member instructions (arrival time, check-in, will-call name, etc.).
What kinds of events are a fit?
Theatre, comedy, music, immersive events, festivals, classes, and more. If it has a ticket value and you want extra audience energy, it’s worth submitting.
How do I request seat fillers?
Use our quick event submission form. Include the date/time, quantity, and any check-in instructions. We’ll follow up if anything is missing.
Can I offer discounts instead of complimentary tickets?
Yes. If you have a private discount offer, submit it through our discount submission option (or contact us using the form below).
Do you share partner names publicly?
No. Partner names and offers stay private inside the member area. That privacy is part of what makes seat filling workable.
Can offers be retracted after members claim them?
Because claimed seats are removed from inventory and members plan around them, offers should be submitted only when availability is confirmed.
Quick clarity (this saves everyone time)
Event calendars are for everyone and show public “things to do.” They are not your seat filler invitations. Seat filler opportunities are posted privately in the member area only, and they’re occasional and availability-based.

Why do I see events that aren’t in my city?
